Guest guest
For those with recent tick bites, or those who may come across them in the near future, as this may be one of the worst tick seasons ever- Try to remove the tick with tweezers, gently but firmly, making sure the 'mouth' comes out, and place it in a sealed baggy with a moist paper towel - Your state agency (can't remember the exact name, sorry) will test the tick for the many possible infections it can carry- Or, send the baggy w/ tick to Igenex in Palo Alto, CA, and they will test it for a fee. Not to freak anyone out, but as a fact, only 50% of Lyme infected people from a tick will get the classic bulls eye rash- Doxycycline for adults (4-6 weeks) and Amoxicillin for children are the best bet if caught right away- Signed, Mom and daughter with chronic Lyme > > > Â > >I just took a tick off my son. Guest guest
Our daughter had an attached tick and our DAN Dr said to give her Nutramedics Samento 3 x per day at 1 drop per 10 pounds body weight for 3 months. She was 30 lbs at the time so we gave 3 drops in the mouth 3 times per day not with food, for 3 months. Did you save the tick? Can you send it to a lab to have it tested? Depending on where you live it is required that the local agency test the tick and send you a report. Hers was a dog tick, not infected as far as they can tell but we kept her on the regimen anyway. Nutramedics Samento is the best. Order it online. In the meantime I'd go with OLE until you get the Samento (also known as Cats Claw.) > > I just took a tick off my son. He's in the bath. Guest guest
Yes, do not mess around with this, as it can cause all kinds of problems, Neurological, auto immune, joint problems. I have even heard that its eatten away thru peoples, gums, jaw line, knee's, etc.. Its really important to protect yourself and take a couple rounds of antibx's at the beginning of a tick bite, and send the tick off to be tested as well, because there maybe other co infections the tick is carrying for you to be treated correctly. > > > > > > Â > > >I just took a tick off my son.
