Patient Feedback idea

Hello all -

I am wanting to get opinions and feedback, especially from any one

who's departments may have experimented with a system similar to this.

We are looking at creating a patient outcomes feedback system for our

paramedics to get a summary of what each of their transported patients

were daignosed with and what kind of disposition fro mthe ER they had

(i.e. home, ICU, morgue, transfered to a Stroke center, etc...). This

would be an educational tool for our crews to be able to learn from and

our QA/QI process to identify trends in assessments and transport

destinations.

Has anyone tried this and if so, results? And for everyone else,

opinions please?

Thank you all for your help and input,

Almand

This is a great QI tool, and it also helps your medics understand that at times

they cam make a significant difference. However, sometimes getting outcome is

difficult if you go it alone. Try going through your TRAC committees, local

medical staff committees, Fatality Review committees, M & M committees and

inter-local agreements.
