Guest guest
Wording pasted from the article: Ambulance hits car, injuring car's driver - Texas An ambulance crossing through a red light on an emergency call at a Northeast Side intersection struck a car, injuring the car's female driver. Bexar County sheriff's deputies said the incident occurred about 8:20 a.m. Tuesday in the intersection of Walzem Road and Elm Trail. Deputies at the scene said the AMR ambulance was northbound on Walzem on an emergency code. As the ambulance ran a red light, a Nissan Altima turned from Elm Trail into the intersection, where the ambulance struck it, deputies said. The Nissan's driver was rushed to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The paramedics in the ambulance were not injured, deputies said. American Medical Response officials declined to comment on the cause of the accident while the Bexar County Sheriff's Office is investigating. A spokesman said the company, which holds a contract to provide ambulance service for unincorporated Bexar County, also is investigating. " We're extremely concerned, and our hearts go out to all those injured, " said AMR clinical education specialist Shane .
