Today was ’s

Neurology visit. ’s doctor is sending him to an MS Specialist

in Philadelphia at Jefferson Hospital. They will be making the appointment

for us. ’s doctor felt that ’s symptoms are to severe

to wait till after the specialist visit to start medication. So is

staring injectible betas in the next week. A visiting nurse will be out

to do them. ’s doctor told us that he fully supports ’s

social security claim and will do any and all paperwork for . SS is just

waiting for this visit today to finalize his claim. We are so lucky to

have a doctor who has a plan and supports us.

Sharon,

I do feel lucky to have this neurologist.  He had a

plan from the minute he walked in the room on Friday.  I’m concerned about the

beta because of the side effects.  Makes me nervous.

I am pleased with how well SS is going too.  Some

people I have spoken to online in MS rooms have been a little rough.  They keep

telling me he will be denied.  Of course we expect that.  But has spoken

with his case worker who is deciding the case.  He doesn’t feel it’s going that

way.  She is not even waiting for the MS specialist report for her final

determination.  has more than MS going on.  He is federally prohibited

from driving a truck from the insulin dependence alone.
