How much magnesium can I give?

Hi, I was wondering what is the maximum amount of magnesium I can give my son.

He's is about 140 pounds. I was giving 350mg and it seemed like it was really

helping at first but can I give more than that?

I was just telling Armand that Tom (Age 9, 80 lbs.) takes 400+mg's a day of magnesium with no problem - not even loose stools. We love it.

He'll also do epsoms along with that on occasion - doesn't seem to create an problems.

I have potty issues if I take 400 mg at a time. I can take 600-800 mg a day if I space the pills out. I'm a 145 lb 40 yr old. LOLMy kids are 5 and 6, 40ish lbs each, they can take 600 a day too if I space it out. But usually only 400,  200 mg in am and 200 in pm.

thanks, that is good to know. I will space it out because it does seem to really calm him down and he's had no problems with the bathroom yet.
