Guest guest
Hi guys, I know this subject comes up often but I just want to know if any of you know why no other Dr is following De G's protocol. we just don't see the result with DAN and now are thinking about changing to Dr Goldberg but this is a red flag for us. also anybody had a bad experience with him? Guest guest
Our experience has been pretty good, our sons improvement has been better than it was with a DAN dr. There are a few other dr.s who use his protocol. He is somewhat caustic with other dr.'s as he rails against DAN and mainstream pediatrics constantly... which might explain why other Dr's have not taken up his protocol. (Though there are a lot of similarities at times).
Guest guest
Because Dr. G doesn't play well with others. My son saw him for 1.5 years and it was fine until the SSRIs came in. Totally disaster. And that's why most people don't use his protocol. There's certainly more to it than that, he doesn't address a lot of issues our kids have. His protocol works for a small set of kids. My son was most definitely not one of them. I know more people that have started and left than started and stayed. The best the thing Dr. G did for my son, the only things that did anything really were: antibiotics (erythromycin) for a year (sooooo good for him!), antivirals and antifungals. Everything else either did nothing or produced negatives. SSRIs slowly made my son psychotic of the course of a year. ~ Antiviral Therapy 101~~ Make a biomed book ~~ gryffinstail.wordpress.com ~~ @Gryffins_Tail ~ Hi guys, I know this subject comes up often but I just want to know if any of you know why no other Dr is following De G's protocol. we just don't see the result with DAN and now are thinking about changing to Dr Goldberg but this is a red flag for us. also anybody had a bad experience with him? Guest guest
Dr G has always been kind to me!! He has hundreds of patients that have been with him for years and I see those kids and families every time I go for an appointment!! DAN did nothing for my son for 2 years and decided to move on!!! We have been with DR G since nov 2010 and my son went from nonverbal to verbal (talking in short sentences now), happy, in our world and overall healthy!!! In fact writing this he just came up and Hugged me and said "I love you, mom" if that isn't proof I don't know what is!'Email me privately if u want!!! Guest guest
my son was with dr g 3 yrs. very little improvement. when i took my son off all the meds, he began to get better (lol). to be honest, nothing much has helped my son. he is still non verbal, very hyper but cognitively/receptive language skills very good. the nids protocol works for some. it's not a fix all. i encourage people to at least try. it might just work. however, dr g does not have the best bed-side manners. ive never personally met anyone who's child got better on that protocol. but, i have HEARD that some are very pleased with dr g. vicki Re: Dr Goldberg? Guest guest
The Nids protocol is worth a try for anyone who is not seeing results with standard DAN. While we saw important changes with anti-virals and anti-fungals it was the SSRI's that gave us the 'wow's' we were looking for (and still do). Granted SSRI'S might not work for all as some kids have negative reactions but it just might work for your child. It could also give you a view into what might be the root causes of your child's illness, viruses, fungals, serotonin and dopamine issues...could be one or all three or none...I look at it like it's an investigation. The tricky part of working with Dr Goldberg is he believes they should work for your child. He does indeed care about your child and does not want to give up on your child unfortunately some things might just not work. The tricky part on your part is to work out if they do, when to carry on with them and when to stop or switch. That is when you might butt heads with Dr Goldberg and when you need to really be informed enough to make your own decisions based on what is working and safe for your child. From what I have read some kids can be recovered on this protocol, some have great healing and plateau (us) and for some they don't really see changes. I think giving any protocol 6-8 months is worth a shot. This protocol changed my daughters life, it did not give us a full recovery but we will always value the work we did with Dr Goldberg, I always think a good biomedical doctor should have this protocol to offer children, I think some do. Guest guest
Have you looked at the SCIA protocol? Again, I do not believe a concrete set of instructions involved in a protocol is right for every child but SCIA protocol seems broader spectrum than the NIDS. www.stopcallingitautism.org To: mb12valtrex Sent: Saturday, April 14, 2012 6:23 AMSubject: Dr Goldberg?
