Guest guest
Wondering if anyone could provide information on how to select a lab for methylation pathway tests. I began my search looking at Amy Yasko's website and methylation pathway panel. However I have also come across other labs like Health Diagnostic & Research Institute as well as Genova that provde this panel. Does anyone have feedback on the labs or guidance on how or why to select one group v.s. another? It is a lot of money. I want to make sure I solid results with a somewhat lay persons report on lab results and suggestions on supplements to aid in removing blocked pathway. I would appreciate any information. Guest guest
Agreed. Plus, she does give you all that nutritional and practical information. While the test is certainly not free and the supplements (whether you buy them from her or another company) are not free, the information is free. She has a ton of information on her website for free including her protocol book (it is linked on her main page), videos, and the forum. It is a lot of information to learn, but she really does help you know what to do about your genetic mutations. She actually states that she thinks it is unethical to give out genetic information without also giving helpful information about what to do about it (not that she is slamming other companies, but just making a general statement about genetics.) Guest guest
In my research, I am learning that this Methylation process is something that autistic children's bodies can not do well. I really liked the way Dr. Kendall explained it. Is having this test done a "standard" thing that all parents should have done on their children to rule it out, OR should one look for symptoms first to decide if it should be done? Guest guest
Is this the test? http://www.holisticheal.com/comprehensive-methylation-panel-with-methylation-pathway-analysis.html How is this test done? Blood work? I really do not understand what the problem is with these tests not being allowed in NY! GRRR!!! Cristine Re: methylation pathway tests Agreed. Guest guest
So getting this test is not an option for us, being that we are in NY. Is there anyone in NY who has found a way to get this test done? Are there certain symptoms that you can look for in a child to determine if they have this issue with methylation? Guest guest
i was just lookin at this methylation stuff the other day on www.livingnetwork.co.za andy cutler talks about it in his book...something bout if you low cysteine you would benefit from lots sulphur foods and supps.....which helps the methylation pathways....if you cant do sulphur....ie. sulphur baths ect....then you may have high cysteine...so your methylation pathways would be helped by molybedenum and a ratio of 2 to 1 of glycine and glutamine.... but dont take my word on it i would double check on the site.. channa To: mb12valtrex Sent: Monday, April 16, 2012 10:56 AMSubject: Re: Re: methylation pathway tests So getting this test is not an option for us, being that we are in NY. Guest guest
, if you're in NY, go over to CT and do it from there or you can order the kit and have it sent to me and I 'll send it on to you...we can figure something out. I think that's total bullsh**. Its none of the state of NY 's business WHAT you order if you're not asking them to pay. Jerks!
