Obtaining Flight Paramedic certification

Hey Folks,

Dont post here much, but some may remember me inquiring about the

availability of a Critical Care class. Well in my continued research

on becoming a Flight Medic, I have come across the need for also

getting my Flight Paramedic certification (FP-C).

Can anyone provide me with some information about this or at least

point me in the right direction? Googled it and only came up with

various job listings and study guides for renewing the FP-C.

Check out www.flightparamedic.org -- It's the website for the IAFP - and has

some good info on the FP-C exam

They recommend a rigorous study plan, including a thorough review of the

following texts:

Air and Surface Patient Transport Principles & Practice 3E by: S

Holleran, Air & Surface Transport Nurses Association

Critical Care Paramedic First Edition by: E. Bledsoe, Randall W.

Benner ©2006 Published by: Brady/Prentice Hall

There are other texts for study as well. The exam is heavily experienced

based from what I understand.

Also you might want to check out www.flightweb.com - there are a few threads

on there regarding the FP-C exam.
