Sorry about the pneumonia! Too many bugs are caught at hospitals..... I'm glad to hear you are recovering. The programs you took part in sound fascinating. Update time folks!

I am still recovering from pneumonia (I caught it at the hospital) but am able to do more each day. I treated myself and went to a program on sustainability and took classes in making lefsa, healthy organic foods, on-line chart schools (for k-12) and on sustainable (growing your own) foods in zone 3. Wynona LaDuke was the guest speaker and it was a lot of fun. I even won one of the big door prizes (a 30 dollar gift card to a local nursery and then promptly spent it on seeds:)

Yes I gardened last year. I am on the board for our community garden and I garden at home. I really enjoy gardening !

a good friend called Christmas - her cold dropped and she got pneumonia it went into bronchitus - the doc gave her a symbicort inhaler and he did not read the directions - he forgot to tell her to wash her mouth out after use - duhhhhh - she got thrush

I scanned and efiled the print out from the sunday paper to her two days later

she was really thrilled about the whole thing

I warned her about using advair inhaler - it spiked my blood sugar on a fasting to 345, dropped my potassium so low they were convinced I would have a heart attack in the office, my blood pressure was 200 to 210 on the upper number - I stalled for 3 months about more bloodwork - lost the md who was diagnosing half the town with diabetes - they thought they could get away with it due to Grace and her son being diabetic - I didn't have it for family reasons - it took 6 months of herbs and vitamins to get me sorted out - funny six months after my bad labwork she opened a practice and spa God, grant me the strength of eagles wings, the faith and courage to fly to new heights, and the wisdom to rely on his spirit to carry me there.

Where do you live, Kay? You said you are zone 3. We are zone 5. I do enjoy being out in the garden although I wasn't able to go out much this past summer.
