Guest guest
Hi, I know someone posted about this not too long ago. I was wondering if anyone who has a pandas kid can recommend a good probiotic. I have a suspicion that my son is a pandas kid, and I noticed most probiotics contain a strain of streptococcus... I read another post about culturelle being good, does anyone know if u take it alone or in combination with another probiotic blend? I was thinking of trying him on kirkman's CD-Biotic... Has anyone had any experience with this one? Thanks, Cassie

Guest guest
If the culturelle doesn't work as well as you hope, you may also try Custom Probiotics. They also have strep-free strains.Ruth Hi, I know someone posted about this not too long ago. I was wondering if anyone who has a pandas kid can recommend a good probiotic. Guest guest
We use custom probiotics and it has really helped his stool as well as PANDAS. Warning that culturelle does contain minute amount of casein that some children cannot handle.
Guest guest
HiMy son was on all different probiotics, but nothing really worked very well. I gave enough time to try out all of them, but it was just not right. One time I ran out of his probiotic from kirkman, and I went to get the Culturelle until he gets his regular ones from kirkmans. . I seen very good result. I always suspected him tto have pandas, and he had big flareups, but I did not have a doctor close by to us to diagnose him. His doctor said that pandas are just myth.. Anyways, he is on culturelle now for almost 2 yrs with camel milk and I seen major gains. They said with pandas kids, they have lots of uinary accidents my son had that too. many times fever OCD and everything that comes with Pandas. Culturelle and camel milk improved him a great deal in every ways. It works for my son, it might not work for yours. But this is my experience with culturelle. Guest guest
Please read this article by Dr. Mercola as it speaks to probiotics… http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2012/04/16/bacteria-on-gut-flora-causes-ocd.aspx?e_cid=20120416_DNL_art_1 how about MMS to go after the bacteria too? Excerpt:Increasingly, scientific evidence shows that nourishing your gut flora with the beneficial bacteria found in traditionally fermented foods (or a probiotic supplement) is extremely important for proper brain function, and that includes psychological well-being and mood control. The reason I am more fond of using fermented foods as a source of beneficial bacteria is LEVERAGE. You can typically consume more than 100 times the amount you would in typical serving of oral probiotics. You can get many trillions of bacteria instead of billions. Guest guest
We use the D-lactate free powder. My son is twelve and has such extensive lesions throughout his small bowel as seen on the pill cam that Krigsman diagnosed him with Crohn's disease. Started custom probiotics and zithromax last summer and stools were perfectly formed. Also using immumist for Pandas. Flapping is gone, need to compulsively organize and stack is much better and less scripting/more conversation with custom probiotics, antibiotics and immumist. Had to build up to the standard immumist dosage as he freaked out when I gave 16 drops to start. Backed down to 4 for a week, then 8 for two weeks and have been on full dose since. Guest guest
Mindlinx from Pharmax took away our obsessive behaviors within 3 days, and they stayed gone for 8 months just for taking it for a few weeks. So, that stuff by far is the best probiotic we have ever tried. I love Kirkman's Sach. Boulardii, but their probiotics did nothing for us. I have tried another brand of Sacch. Boulardii that did not work in a positive manner, so keep in mind that brand is very important. Love and prayers, Heidi N
Guest guest
Amazing!!! Congrats. What strains of probiotic are in Mindlinx (from Pharmax)? These were compulsions, not obsessions---right? Obsessions are repetitive thought. And we are of course talking of autism spectrum disorder. I wonder if the obsessive compulsive disorder of adult non-autisticperson would also be helped with probiotic?Thanks.Ratan.-------------Ratan Singh, Phone: 91 141 2652561, mail: ratanpsych@...- Certificate in Food & Nutrition; Diploma in Nutrition and Health Education; Life Member, Nutrition Soc. of India; Member ISOM- Author of "Nutrition & Supplements in Major Mental Illnesses";- M.A. (Psychol), Postgraduate Diploma in Medical & Social Psychology, Ph.D.;- Certified Behavior Therapist (from late Prof. J.
