And said goodbye to my therapist . . .

Not either of our choice, I'm afraid! She got brought down by the local 'good

old boy' network--after a decade and 3 court cases, 2 of which were thrown out.

Apparently her attorney didn't file on time so she got screwed this time--she

has to shut her practice down for 181 days. I do not believe for a second that

she did anything wrong.

I've seen this woman for over 10 years. She mothered me when I needed it, taught

me how to mother myself, helped my husband overcome addiction & childhood

neglect, and taught me methods of parenting that enabled my children to become

responsible adults. She saved my marriage.

It was like saying goodbye to a mother--a real mother, not the POS one I had

growing up. I'll be ok--thanks to all the therapy she's provided over the years.

She, however, is being summarily broken by this experience--she'll survive and

make a new life. But the bastards have done their best to break this woman and

take away a wonderful, inventive therapist from the world.

I know, off topic, but this has affected my greatly this 'week of hell' and I

needed to vent.

I am so sorry to hear this! I can't imagine losing a good therapist, as long as

it take to find one knowledgeable in bpd. I can totally relate to being affected

by attorney screw ups, it happens, it has happened in my life when an attorney

bungled a bankruptcy years ago by not calculating interest correctly on a

chapter 13, so they came after me 8 years after it was filed, my credit was

ruined AGAIN, and I had to pay off the interest. my credit is good again, but it

should have been good back then, and it was devastating to say the least. So

they do screw up big time some times. I hate that she has to shut her practice

down, that is just awful. I hope she can suggest someone else for you to go to

in the meantime. Hugs!
