Well folks, cross your fingers, but it looks like the extreme heat wave here in

north Alabama is close to being over! We've had what is probably a record

number of days (in a row) of a temps up to or over 100F and heat indexes well

over 100F. Our AC can't keep up with heat like that so it's been between 78-81

when we go to bed - at midnight!

The hubby has a lawn care business, and since he had a heart attack four years

ago and was hospitalized two years ago with heat-related problems (his kidneys

nearly shut down), so to say I've been worried is when he has to work in this

heat is putting it mildly. He did show some sense and only worked a few hours a

day, thank goodness! So worried, stressed and cranky have been my words of the

day for the last month or more.

Since I know other parts of the country have been sweltering as well, I hope all

of you are doing well. And if you know of anyone selling t-shirts with the

words 'I survived the summer of 2010', (size 3x long for the hubby) let me know!

Dee... I sympathize with you over the heat! We had been having nice weather and now the heat has hit us again. It was 96 here yesterday and was already 87 here this morning at 8:30. We don't have AC because we are off-grid (solar and wind power). We do have a swamp cooler we can run when the generator is on for pumping water or doing laundry. We don't have your super high humidity here. Yesterday the humidity was only around 50 when the temp was 96.I hope your hubby can keep from getting heat sickness again. That's a hard thing to deal with for sure. big hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. 'They' say it can't humidity can't go over 100% but I swear it can (and does!)

get higher in the south!! The weather forcast calls for a cool front to move in

next week - cool being a relative term of course - so maybe we'll make it!

And I think I will design a shirt, just as soon as my brain recovers and

actually functions again! LOL
