Guest guest
https://www.stopcallingitautism.org/autism.html So how does the SCIA protcol work? Is there a doctor you see? How do you go about using the protocol? Cristine Dr Goldberg? Hi guys,I know this subject comes up often but I just want to know if any of you know why no other Dr is following De G's protocol. we just don't see the result with DAN and now are thinking about changing to Dr Goldberg but this is a red flag for us.also anybody had a bad experience with him?TIALili
Guest guest
Cristine, There is a growing list of physicians willing to do the SCIA protocol that you can find on their website. But you can certainly use your own doc. The more physicians they can get on board, the better. On the website you can also find a handy overview of the protocol you can share with your doctor. You might consider emailing a short note along with the overview to your doc that way they dont feel "put on the spot" if you show up for an appointment and ask right there and then. They are more likely to agree if they've had some time to learn more about it. They first thing you will need to do is register your child at the SCIA website. Once that is complete, SCIA will snail mail you a HIPPA form that you need to sign and return. Once they receive that, they will give you the download for the labs orders that you take to your doc to sign off on. You MUST use their lab order form and one of THEIR labs (Quest is one. I cant remember the other) in order for them to use your child's info for their registry. The results of those labs will be sent to SCIA and your child's doctor. Your physician will have access to the protocol. You should know that labs are required to be repeated. So you might want to do some homework with your health insurance company. Anywho, that should be enouh to get you started. Good luck!
