I'm so sorry to hear about Razz. Poor little guy! Have you had him since he was a pup? We all love our pets so much and we suffer right along with them when something is wrong.Oh the mosquitoes! I swear they are getting bigger every year. We have had a lot of rain here this summer and all the natural cow ponds are filled with mosquitoes. I can't even go outside towards evening because they are so bad. My 7 year old granddaughter, , has a little pool outside. She is covered with mosquito bites. Terrible critters!hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. We are fine Sharon. It is hot here too (in the 90's) and so muggy The mosquitoes are having a hay day drinking our blood! I think I have used up a can of spray already!

My little Shih Tzu male (Razz) who is 12 years old has congestive heart failure with a very enlarged heart. This weather is bad for him and he was coughing so much today. His heart is so big that it is pushing into his trachea. I saw the x-rays so the Vet has him on special meds that will make his heart pump more efficiently. It can do just so much though.

what's new at your house? (Sharon's update)

It's Friday the 13th today. I hope no one here had bad luck!It was hot, hot, hot here today. Although I think it was slightly cooler than yesterday. We haven't had rain or our monsoon storms for a week and now our temps are up. Drats! The forecast says slight chance of rain and that chance is building over the next few days. I'm feeling good--even with the heat. I am now going out to feed and water the poultry twice a day. I'm walking much better than I was in May when I fell. I still won't walk outside without my cane and I do need it out there. I need to sit down a lot when I'm outside so I have chairs stragetically placed in the poultry hard and on the way to the turkey pen. You all know how I am about my chickens and ducks so no update from me would be complete without a poultry story, would it? lol Our good Mommy Hen is setting on 7 eggs again. She only has one surviving chick from her first hatching earlier this summer. That survivor is a cute little red hen named Lucy. I laugh when I go out to the chicken house and there is Mommy Hen setting on eggs and Lucy sitting with her. Lucy still needs/wants her mommy:) Then we have a duck named Oreo (looks like the cookie) who decided she is going to set eggs. We don't need or want any more ducklings so I gave her some chicken eggs to hatch. I hope that goes well for her and for any chicks she hatches. It will as long as this duck momma doesn't try to teach the chicks to swim! lol I hope you are all doing great! I am looking forward to your updates.hugs

We rescued Razz from a neglect situation when he was just 4 years old and that had been his 3rd home. He was headed for the pound because he had nipped a toddler who had picked him up by the neck. Duhhhh --- Stupid mother of the child!! He was not in good shape health wise but bounce back nicely. He is not as biter!

Have you been watching the PGA Championship golf tourney (Kohler WI)?? I live about 12 miles from there.

Hugs,

Kasey

I"m so sorry about Razz as well. And yep, saw a little of the tourney. Hope I'm not going to be flamed but I've disliked Tiger for years and has always loved him. I'm a Mickelson fan and of course Mike Weir (Cdn). Were those just seagulls on a sandbar or pelicans? The pelicans have made a comeback this summer so maybe we can blame the poor fishing on them ... hugs, Cait

I saw those white "things" on a sand bar too and wondered what they were. I think seagulls -- don't you? Tiger has really messed up his life and also so many others also. Shame on him.

Thanks, I am enjoying the time I have left with Razz but I will not let him suffer to ease my pain.

Hugs,
