when I had poison ivy the first summer in St Louis (1972)

I got poison ivy - I slept with long sleeves and socks over the sleeves and taped down

didn't work I kept itching in my sleep

that is when the neat thing with cider vinegar helped out - that and sunburn

The bandage did help some in the itching department. That is: it protected the skin from my scratching...love/Reb---original message---when I had poison ivy the first summer in St Louis (1972) I got poison ivy - I slept with long sleeves and socks over the sleeves and taped down didn't work I kept itching in my sleep that is when the neat thing with cider vinegar

it is sorta a two edge sword - itching means healing - the down side is scratching can cause infection
