Guest guest
OMG! I had the experience with my mother...exactly! My nada wears glasses and always commented on how I would read in the dark and how I should turn a light on or I would go blind! The tv as well, when I was young... " Don't sit too close you'll ruin your eyesight! " She would also complain if the tv was too loud. She would go over to her elderly mother's house and chastised her for having the tv so loud. The irony now is she does the same. At 68 she finally got hearing aides, after at least 10 years of our family telling her she needed them. Why? Why are they like this?!? So stubborn and so similar! My nada is such a difficult person - I have worked with people in sales and customer service and have had great success dealing with difficult people who seem tame compared to what I have lived with all my life! I love this sight and how it adds sanity in dealing with BPD!! Thank you! - am an only child and this sight makes me feel a certain kinship to you all...like we grew up together and are now able to talk about our experiences, thank God! Guest guest
My grandmother use to say the same about reading in dim light " ruining eyes " . I don't think this is a BPD thing, but more of a folk saying thing from people of her generation. Also a lack of awareness of others' reality...unable to remember that when they were young they too were able to read easily with less light. Eliza > > OMG!
