I guess it is time to join the 21st century. I finally signed up for a cell phone! ATT is offering me a nice one, with camera and rollover minutes etc...for about $10 more then my current bill (free phone included), and for an additional $10 I can have unlimited Internet on it, so I went for that. I have been paying them about the same as what my actual bill will be, so there will really be no changes to my budget. Cool, huh? I don't have the phone yet (it will be here within a week), so if you will want the number send me an email. Now, finally, I will be able to text! Cool Benz, huh? Robbin is, of course, thrilled...

Do you get 2 phones, or just 1? Sometimes they'll throw in another one if you go for a family plan...I'm excited for you; for some reason I thought you had had one already. Is it the texting type phone? Those are far easier to use than just one that is like a regular landline phone.Cool. I'd love to have your cell#; I'll put it right next to your home phone! Then I can text ya too!love ya sis, glad to have you in this century!KateFrom: Akiba

Just one phone, and I just had to add another $10 a month for texting, since that was not part of the plan, but I DO have friends I want to text, and I'd rather pay per month then per text, this way I know where I am at. The $10 gives me 1,000 texts a month, that should just about cover it lol...

I think it is the regular phone, not the qwerty type. I'll know when it gets here

The only cell I have is the safelink one, and Robbin has that.

Congrats! And welcome to this century... When we got our first cell phones, we were about the last ones in Sweden (well, perhaps not, because I know one history professor at the university here who still doesn't have one...but, well, about last at least...). For the longest time we said no phone call could be so important it can't wait till you are back home, are pass a phone booth. But then the phone booths started to disappear (because everyone had there own cell phones...). And finally, was going to be working in another part of the country during the weeks (home for the weekends), and that's when we broke down and joined the cell phone crowd. If you can't beat them, join them, you know...Enjoy the new phone!love/Reb>> I guess it is time to join the 21st century. I finally signed up for a cell> phone! Congrats Akiba! That sounds like a great deal. Are you getting rid of your landline? SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. I doubt it, I will look into what the monthly bill difference would be, then decide. After, of course, I have the cell phone activated
