Guest guest
I am so thankful I still had most of my jar of the silver sulfadiazine cream when we lived in Alaska. My granddaughter lost her footing and fell against the incredibly hot wood stove and burned a large area of skin off of her buttocks. I quickly smeared the cream all over her burn. I was out in the cabin by myself with the four grandkids. Her parents had gone to town to get supplies. A trip to town meant a hike two miles through the ice on foot, towing a sled, to the truck to drive to town. It took some time to hike that stretch of snow and ice, towing a sled filled with supplies. The parents were hours away. I called my doc here in Arizona and they told me to use the silver sulfadiazine and that the hospital wouldn't do anything differently. Thank God for that cream! If needed, her parents could have loaded her on a sled and hiked out with her but the cream did the trick for Kelsey. I keep a jar here at the house and it has saved many trips to the doc or the ER. Good thing!love/Reb---original message---When I got my steam burn in 2001 I got a script for silver sulfadiazine cream from the doc. That jar of cream has been invaluable over the years since when a family member has gotten a bad burn. SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Yes, it is a prescription. Perhaps your doc will give you a script? If not, then the next time you or Chuck get a burn you see if your doc will phone it in for you.hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Think the brand name for that stuff was Silvadene or Silvadine or some such thing.. FANTASTICALLY GREAT STUFF!!! I was given a small jar to use on Earl's fingers and wrist when he stumbled into our Kerosene (being a little snot, turning to run from me as I was warning him to be careful)... even though the wrist was the worse of the burns, he doesn't even have a tiny scar after using that cream and keeping it bandaged as instructed LOVED that stuff HUGS |)onna I am so thankful I still had most of my jar of the silver sulfadiazine cream when we lived in Alaska.
