how's the storm for everyone?

I'm wondering how everyone is doing in this major winter storm? I hope no one has lost power, especially those who need power for your heating! It snowed lightly most of the day yesterday and again today, getting heavier as the day went on. We have been watching the weather warnings for our area and we are prepared. We have pumped out water tank full, have our firewood in, the fireplace and wood stove are both burning nice and warm. The turkeys, chickens and ducks are secured in their shelters. The outside wild cats have been fed good, high protein food to help them with body heat. My daughter's girls are still here (it's been a week today) and we also have our two neighbor children who stay with us when it's bitter cold because they don't have heat. So that's a total of 8 kids here in the house. It's supposed to be -22 wind chill here tonight with a temp of around zero. Batten down the hatches everyone and stay inside and stay warm!hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. We are still here. I have never ever seen snow drifts like these. They can't

even get emergency vehicles out. They are calling for fire and ambulance

personnel with snowmobiles. They are now digging out a car with a person in it

that is totally covered with snow. They also were looking for a person that was

out in the snow evidentally walking! Geez! Here is the latest:

What about the dad of the 2 girls? Is he warm enough himself?8 kids in the house! Wow, that's a lot of mouths to feed, and probably a lot of hustle and bustle.Kids had off today (again) from school. I think this might be the 4th snow day already this winter--and Feb. has just begun! We had only a bit of snow, but an ice storm on top of everything. It's beginning to melt a bit now, but they are expecting very low temps tonight, so we're looking at a 'refreeze'. I have to go out for hockey practice tonight, so cross your fingers it hasn't gotten too cold when I go out at 5:30.Not sure if it's the weather or what, but I'm so very down. Eating too much, sleeping too much, forgetting my meds, not showering/bathing--I feel like I'm spiraling down. Send me some good thoughts--please!Enjoy all the

laughter that must be in your house now, Sharon!love to all,KateTo: Group <mserslife >Sent: Tue, February 1, 2011 9:51:58 PMSubject: how's the storm for everyone?

Whoa, nne! For you to say that you've never seen snow drifts like that before--it must be intense! I know you've gotten hammered in the past, but this sounds like the ultimate! Stay in--sure I don't have to say that twice! Love to you and Chuck,KateTo: mserslife Sent: Wed, February 2,

I didn't hear any more about either one. Timmy might hear something when he goes

back to work tomorrow night. He as Asst. Chief and also on the ambulance for 17

yrs so he knows lots of the guys. He will tell me if he hears anything. The

scanner has been going non stop so sometimes one person over rides the other

talking.

Hugs

> how's the storm for everyone?

>>

>> I'm wondering how everyone is doing in this major winter storm? I hope

>> no one

>> has lost power, especially those who need power for your heating!

>>

>>

>> It snowed lightly most of the day yesterday and again today, getting

>> heavier as

>> the day went on. We have been watching the weather warnings for our

>> area

>> and we

>> are prepared. We have pumped out water tank full, have our firewood in,

>> the

>> fireplace and wood stove are both burning nice and warm. The turkeys,

>> chickens

>> and ducks are secured in their shelters. The outside wild cats have

>> been

>> fed

>> good, high protein food to help them with body heat.

>>

>>

>> My daughter's girls are still here (it's been a week today) and we also

>> have our

>> two neighbor children who stay with us when it's bitter cold because

>> they

>> don't

>> have heat. So that's a total of 8 kids here in the house.

>>

>> It's supposed to be -22 wind chill here tonight with a temp of around

>> zero.

>> Batten down the hatches everyone and stay inside and stay warm!
