Guest guest
Sounds bad! Can the military or National Guard help? I know, in Sweden when the snow situation gets that bad, they use military vehicles, and/with the assistance of military personnel, for emergency transports (fire fighting, ambulances and rescue operations etc). It's especially this kind http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e2/Hagglunds_BV-206_Bandvagn_zijaanzicht.jpg (don't know the term in English), but helicopters may be used too.Best of luck!love/Reb>> We are still here. I have never ever seen snow drifts like these. They can't even get emergency vehicles out. They are calling for fire and ambulance personnel with snowmobiles. They are now digging out a car with a person in it that is totally covered with snow. They also were looking for a person that was out in the snow evidentally walking! Geez! Guest guest
That's the kind of areas where that help is most often needed. Where the roads are small, and are easily filled up with snow etc. In the country side. But let's hope you get the help you need from somewhere at least, doesn't matter much where from. Do a lot of people in the area own snowmobiles? Here's hoping for the best!love/Reb>> We don't have any local military and not sure where the closet National Guard is. We are in very small towns. Guest guest
There are a good number of people that have snowmobiles. Once the wind lets up the plows will be able to slowly get the roads open. I am going to see if our son will take some pictures when he comes over to shovel the ramp for us. Guest guest
When I was living in Alaska I was so impressed with the Alaska State Troopers. They have tracked vehicles that they use to go across the snow to rescue and lend assistance to people. It's very common for there to be no road to a home so in case of emergency the Troopers can get in by tracked vehicle. And the troopers are everywhere so their response time is very quick. In that cold the response has to be quick. hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
