Guest guest
Hi everyone, I have been looking for supps without the bad ingredients and which do not contain p5p or phenols. I am looking into brainchild nutritionals and the ultrasensitive formula has no p5p and has no herbs. I might be able to get 10% off from pureformulas website. But still these supps are extremely expensive. My son has been miserable with phenol sensitivity and the current multi from vitaspectrum contains P5P. Please comment on the brainchild nutritionals if have any experience with it or suggest another line which is more reasonably priced. Thanks is
Guest guest
We used them early on. They are very good, in my opinion, but do taste terrible. We called it the "goop."Used them for several months and it did the trick. We saw a difference when the kids were on them.sally To: mb12valtrex Sent: Monday, April 30, 2012 5:53 PM Subject: Are brainchild nutritionals supplements worth the money? Guest guest
We used them and were very happy with the product UNTIL we had major mold issues with several bottles (even unopened - you could smell the mold thru the cap and the cap had green mold inside of it). Turns out they had a serious production problems and did not notify my DAN doc who unknowingly continued to stock and sell them. The company refunded our money, apologized for the problem but then sent replacement bottles with the exact same problem. They apologized again and said they were still having difficulties with mold. Despite being happy with the product, I personally would not trust them anymore. We now use a pill product from Klaire labs but don't like it as much and actually just had to stop it.If you chose to use brainchild, I'd call and "chat" about the mold issue (it was about 6 months ago).Kim We used them early on. Guest guest
Thank you so much Kim. Now that you mentioned it, I remember reading about it somewhere. I am so disappointed and frustrated now as I am having a great difficulty finding the multivitamins/minerals without P5P, magnesium stearate, aspartic acid, animal ingredients. Looking into Lee silsby transdermals. Would love to get some more ideas. Thanks is > > > > > We used them early on. They are very good, in my opinion, but do > > taste terrible. Guest guest
P5P is Pyridoxal 5 phosphate and is the active form of vitamin B6. It is a problem for my child as he has Phenolsulfotransferase deficiency and P5P worsens it and causes more phenol sensitivity. Magnesium stearate is added in a lot of supplements. It is a lubricating agent which prevents ingredients in meds from sticking to each other and to the machinery. Although companies claim that a very little amount is used, our kids take a lot of capsules and the total does become significant. It has been associated with immune suppression. It is a controversial subject but I try to stay away from it as my kid already has immune dysfunction. Aspartic acid is a neurotoxin. I try to avoid any animal origin gelatin or glycerin in the supps for my kid. is > > > > > > > > We used them early on. They are very good, in my opinion, but do > > > taste terrible. Guest guest
Hi , I did call this morning and the rep told me that I can get the Our asd minerals and should get the Bs compounded for transdermal application. This seems like the only option so far. I am concerned if my son will keep the cream on or not. I just started using magnesium sulfate cream on his back where he doesn't rub it off. I will have to find a spot for the vitamins also is > > & gt; & gt; > > & gt; & gt; & gt; > > & gt; & gt; & gt; We used them early on. Guest guest
Just FWIW I just tried the Lee Silsby Transdermal B Cream the other day at the ARI conferenceand it did not smell that bad, but it's orange and I'm wondering how that would be to have it on all day. The TD Glut smells worse but it seems to soak in and it's got no color, same w TD Nac. Does anyone know about the TD B? I just tried it for a few minutes and because it was on my hand it washed off on the rest room. > > > > Hi alexis, > > > > Have you looked at the lee silsby multi?..i remember they took out the bs for us and it was covered 100percent by insurance...if I remember correctly there is nothing added...problem for us was that we couldn't customise it further...just a thought. > > > >
Guest guest
Yes the niacin makes it orange/yello and my kids legs always look a litte yellowish...they're still young so I am not too worried about it at the moment...fyi, alexis the td cream has the p5p form of b6. How did you find out that kids with pst shouldn't have p5p? I know kids with cbs mutations must be careful with high dose b6 but hadn't heard about staying away from p5p for the pst...i was just trying to convince lee silsby to make a pyrodoxine b6 td cream but could use some more back up info for them....-- Sent from my Palm Pre Just FWIW I just tried the Lee Silsby Transdermal B Cream the other day at the ARI conferenceand it did not smell that bad, but it's orange and I'm wondering how that would be to have it on all day. Guest guest
Yes I am concerned about the P5P in the transdermals. Just not sure if it is a better route and may be would not worsen the PST deficiency. This phenol and salicylate sensitivity is so complicated. I have been trying to gather as much information as possible but still have a lot of questions. None of the dans at the conference were knowledgeable enough about the issue. I have heard Dr B has experience with handling the phenol issue and will try to learn from him. is > > & gt; & gt; > > & gt; & gt; Hi alexis, > > & gt; & gt; > > & gt; & gt; Have you looked at the lee silsby multi?..i remember they took out the bs for us and it was covered 100percent by insurance...if I remember correctly there is nothing added...problem for us was that we couldn't customise it further...just a thought. > > & gt; & gt; > > & gt; & gt; > > > > > > > > > > > > > TODAY(Beta) • Powered by Yahoo!Ten things you don't hear at graduation > Privacy Policy >
