A picasso...looks real but isn't (though she DID have a real Picasso at one time)

This one, we have NO idea who she is, they bought it for the frame (I think you can see why)

Never cared much for Picasso, but I bet you could get a pretty penny for

the photo of the lady on eBay - amazing how many people want to buy Someone

Else's Grandma, especially if she's pretty like that one!

the lady in the frame reminds me of one Grandma Hightower had in Indiana - do the eyes follow you when you look at it?

find and art expert - the museums come to mind

UPS ground, prolly - find out ahead of time what they'll charge, and post

that in the listing. Check out other heavy things like " antique sewing

machines " , etc, on eBay to see how they list.

Yup. Or cruise " antique photographs " and the like on eBay, see what

comparable things are going for.

You could also sell the photo and keep the frame for something else, save

shipping the heavy bit....

Awesome thinking. I "perused" eBay a bit, found one somewhat similar (but without the guilt...by "guilt" I mean the gold, not the emotion) , not sure if it is as big, has a baby in the picture, they're asking about $150. That'd be a nice boost....

I know a little bit about ebay, Akiba. I'd start the bidding outat $100, and take it from there. I wouldn't do a 'buy it now'deal, as you want to see where the bidding goes. You mightfetch as much as $200 or $250 for it, Just my '2 cents'.love you, and wishing you the best in this,Kate Pics of some of the other artwork> > > A picasso...looks real but isn't (though she DID have a real > Picasso at> one time)> This one, we have NO idea who she is, they bought it for the > frame (I think> you can see why)> > ~*~Hugs~*~> ~*~Akiba~*~> > > > > > love and blessings,Kate

I'm not sure how I would even get it packaged to ship...it is pretty big. It would cost a mint to ship, too...and I *don't* mean breath mint!

I'd have these pieces appraised first because you can really lose out on eBay if  you don't know what you're doing. If there's any value in them, you'd want to deal with an auction house.

I'll try and contact some art dealers. Just wish I know who was reputable and who not.

Just please remember that people deal in business for their own financial gains. Take time to do your homework. Get everything in writing.  Does the Antiques Roadshow ever come by your area?http://practical-homeschooling.org

I doubt it, and they'd have to come here as I'd have no way to get the stuff there. Even if there was a there, here. So there you have it
