Thank You Marcia!

My son has only had a few speech tests, but the one thing that they

found was- Mixed receptive/expressive language disorder.Does any one

have an idea on what would be the best apps. for that particular

disorder.

Tammy F.

Here is a list of great applications

another mom sent me. Thanks . Since the thread

on the list is about the great things to help our kids

learn, I thought they might be helpful.

Best,

Marcia

Thought these I phone apps might be

helpful

Compose using Plain

Raise your hand if you got a device as a gift

that you worry might be smarter than you such as

an iPad, iPhone, or any smart phone. I thought

so. (I can't help but wonder - is the autistic

brain better wired for the new technology? But

that's for a later discussion.. .) If you're

like me, you stared at your or your child's

device and wondered, "So what exactly am I

supposed to load on this thing?" Now, the NFL

app may be the greatest app ever developed, but

that's just my personal opinion, which isn't

very helpful to you. But there are apps out

there that can help with communication,

organizational support, social skills, emotion

recognition, and creativity (never underestimate

how much creativity might be lurking beneath

your child's surface). And what's even better -

it's the SAME technology that everyone else is

using.
