roses in a blue vase

I have attached a couple of paintings that I did using the same reference photo.

The only difference is that one is painted on watercolor paper and the other is

painted on Yupo. This is the first time I have painted roses.

Thank you for commenting on my paintings. Yupo is classified as a synthetic

paper. It looks and feels like plastic. Its used in signage. Paint doesn't

absorb into the Yupo as it does with watercolor paper. I do not paint on Yupo

as often as I do the watercolor paper; so, for me, the results are kind of hit

or miss. I think I may use too much water with my paints. I'm not really sure.

Wow, I love them both, Donna, but somewhat prefer the one on the watercolor

paper. What is 'Yupo'?
