Guest guest
You have trouble swallowing, Akiba? Jackie, what is the reason you don't have crust now?Have you ever had a swallowing test Akiba? I'm sure you know that swallowing problems can be related to MS. I only have a choking problem with a plain peanut butter sandwich. It doesn't matter if I have a drink with it or not--I still choke. I just can't get it to go down my throat. hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Sharon about the flour.......Mainly because of the diabetes, and most crusts are made with white flour and that raises b/s. I haven't found a good w/w flour that doesn't have a bitter after taste to it. 1/2 white and 1/2 whole wheat isn't too bad, but I usually just stay away from pastries altogether. The almond flour makes a good alternative and the oats too. You can even use the almond flour and add a little oil to it and press it into a pie plate as the bottom for a cream pie, or cheesecake. If the food gets to a certain spot in my throat and gets stuck [the panic area] bending my chin down kind of gives me the chance to breathe through my nose and it pushes the food down. I can't add water at that time because the food blocks the passage. I hate it when my muscles decide they don't want to move. It happens in other parts of my body too. Ugh!
