Guest guest
Someone I know online is looking for someone her mother can talk (or write) to, about TN and about treatments, She has been diagnosed with TN and is considering surgery, but would like to hear what someone who has done it has to say about it (or from someone who decided not to: why not? and are you still happy with the decision etc). I don't know how well she knows English, but I am thinking that if she is not comfortable communicating in English, I could translate some of what you (hopfully) have to say about it for her.Anyone?love/Reb

Guest guest
I have TN but have not had surgery. Kate, however, has had gamma knife surgery for her TN. I'm sure you'll hear from her soon. I'm sorry to hear about this person's TN. It's a hard thing to deal with. Does she have MS? TN goes along with MS often.love SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
I would certainly communicate in whatever way the woman feels comfortable with, Reb. I have TN and have had both the surgery--microvascular decompression as well as 2 gamma knife procedures. I'm not certain I would do the MVD surgery again, but the GK--especially the 2nd one I had much success with. I still suffer of course, and am on large doses of meds still for it, but not nearly as many meds as I had been on.Please copy and paste this website to her:http://www.umanitoba.ca/cranial_nerves/trigeminal_neuralgia/index.htmIt is one of the most comprehensive, and my personal favorite, for explaining types of trigeminal neuralgia and possible treatments. It is a very good place to start. Please feel free to give her my name, email or even my phone#, Reb! I would very much like to reach out to her.love, KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Wed, February 9, 2011 11:24:51 AMSubject: Do you have TN? Did you have surgery? Guest guest
As far as I know she doesn't have MS, but I know it's common with MSers.love/Reb>> I have TN but have not had surgery. Guest guest
Thank you, Kate! I gave her daughter (that's who I am in contact with) your name and email. We'll see if she writes (like I said, I don't know how her English is).love/Reb>> I would certainly communicate in whatever way the woman feels comfortable with, > Reb.
