Someone I know online is looking for someone her mother can talk (or write) to, about TN and about treatments, She has been diagnosed with TN and is considering surgery, but would like to hear what someone who has done it has to say about it (or from someone who decided not to: why not? and are you still happy with the decision etc). I don't know how well she knows English, but I am thinking that if she is not comfortable communicating in English, I could translate some of what you (hopfully) have to say about it for her.Anyone?love/Reb

I have TN but have not had surgery. Kate, however, has had gamma knife surgery for her TN. I'm sure you'll hear from her soon. I'm sorry to hear about this person's TN. I would certainly communicate in whatever way the woman feels comfortable with, Reb. I have TN and have had both the surgery--microvascular decompression as well as 2 gamma knife procedures. I'm not certain I would do the MVD surgery again, but the GK--especially the 2nd one I had much success with.
