Guest guest
I really don't want to be gross, but I had a bout of bowel incontinence today. I'm trying to not be concerned, but I am a bit. Do any of you go through this? Does it necessarily mean a flare, or could it just be, as n says, one of those MultipleSurprises? Recently I have had some urinary trouble as well.Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!love, Kate Food fight? Enjoy some healthy debatein the Yahoo! Answers Food Drink Q&A. Guest guest
I've had the occasional " near miss " (and one or two throw-the-clothes-away incidents), but they don't seem to be tied to flares for me, more to diet. Though since my first big flare some years ago, seems I can go (hah!) from one extreme to the other in the course of a few hours... Did you eat something unaccustomed? Any other signs of illness? Guest guest
Call your doctor! Was this sudden loss of bladder control or something more like heavy leaking? When I have had total sudden loss of bladder control I have been in a major MS exacerbation. The first time it happened to me though was when I had the attack of Transverse Myelitis.Call your doc, Kate. Guest guest
Thanks, Sharon. My balance is a bit off as well; nothing extreme, but a bit. So that along with the incontinence may be a bit of a flare, not sure. My neuro does NOT like to give me steroids. For 2 reasons--the mood swings and the weight gain. So all he would probably do would be to document my symptoms. Thanks for your input, it means a lot to me.love, KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Fri, February 11, 2011 10:31:32 PMSubject: Re: incontinence Call your doctor! Guest guest
Like I said before, Kate, you really need to let your doc know. Guest guest
Maybe you could try the "new" way of prednisone. Three days of a larger dose and no taper. There isn't a need for taper when it's only 3 days, according to what I've been told and what I have experienced.hugs to you sweetie:) SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
I don't really recall it happening at least not like this...I do think it was an isolated thing, but I am supposed to get myself to the neuro soon, as I'll be all out of neurontin, and since the script was written a long time ago by the other neuro I saw twice, I need to see my current neuro to write a new script. I'll be out of the med in the next 3 days. So I should just tell him all the various things I've been going through for the last month, including the falls and the incontinent thing. Thanks, Sharon, love, KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Sun, February 13, 2011 2:53:42 PMSubject: Re: incontinence Like I said before, Kate, you really need to let your doc know. Guest guest
I shall do that my friend. He is my original neuro that I met in May of 2005. He was/is my sister's neuro, she has MS, but didn't tell me til I finally went to him on her advice with my TN. I had gone from 1997 til 2005 without knowing what my trigeminal neuralgia even was! Not one doctor had a clue. I saw a 2nd neuro who thought I was SPMS; saw her twice. She was a cold fish. I went back to Dr. Decker, who still says I'm RRMS.Love you Sharon,KateFrom: Sharon To: MSersLife Sent: Sun, February 13, 2011 5:25:11 PMSubject: Re: incontinence Make a list (in case you can't remember everything:) and let us know what the neuro says.
