Guest guest
I have been busy with doctors appointments for the family. The weather is fine right now. We have sun shine today. It has been pretty cold here for the last few weeks. My ms is treating me pretty good. I am still falling and having trouble with my legs. Margaret A. Guest guest
I managed a fall on the ice and a sprained ankle and injured my knee (I have bad varicose veins ) so I am off my feet for a few days to recover. I have surgery on Monday (if my leg heal enough) to have the vein fixed so I won't have that problem anymore! Looking forward to Spring. Guest guest
KayI'm so sorry to hear of your fall. Ice is incredibly dangerous --especially for those of us who aren't as agile as we used to be. I hope your leg will heal enough for the surgery! Let us all know how you are doing, okay? Guest guest
Doing - off on a new design kick, and trying to get as much of the new stuff as possible finalized and printed for a big Embroiderers' Guild of America seminar at the end of March, and getting a start on spring cleaning. Also trying to make a start at doing again - so far, fairly good. Am doing the original one, and all the arm movement seems to be helping with the weakness/stiffness in my right shoulder... MSing - not bad! The extra exercise is bothering my bad foot some, but helping most everything else. Have been having some spells of numbness and a pulling sensation in my face, just occasional. Weather - has been in the 40s the last couple of days, in the 50s!!!! today. Outside is a horrible muddy mess, but it's so nice to be able to open a window! Supposed to be colder again by the weekend, sigh... Been getting seed catalogs and dreaming of a nice garden and beautiful fresh vegetables. The " Seeds of Change " catalog in particular make me want to plant EVERYTHING, their photos are so beautiful! Wish I had the energy to keep a milk-critter here... Guest guest
Hi Folks, Thankfully I am still doing well on 4.5mg LDN...Since 7/8/04 no other drugs. You all know that I am anti-drug for MS. A recent article in "New Mobility" magazine confirms the failure of the "Crab" drugs. I use a lot of vitamins, Krill Oil and have been doing so for over 20 years. Very little if any progression. Best regards, Tom Bauk www.thomasbayuk.com ... Re: update time! Guest guest
The good news first! :-) My granddaughter was chosen for the Gifted and Talented program for her skills in math. She's in 5th grade and already understands Algebra! Geeessh, I still don't understand it. Never did, probably never will. lol.... Then Nugget is thriving beautifully. He's gained back all his weight, and has adjusted to his crate training very well. is able to come home every day at lunch and let him out to go potty, and Nug goes willingly back into his bed when has to get back to work. It helps too that we bought him some nice shank bones and boiled them up and Steve took them over. Nugget LOVED them, and it keeps him busy, busy, busy........plus the TV is left on for him too while he's alone. I think once a "rescue" dog realises that he is in a good loving home they are the best dogs. He hasn't gone potty once inside since he's been back. I'll try and get some pics uploaded soon. The not so good news, is I have had a bad last week of fatigue and pain. We are expecting SNOW this week, so I am sure thats why my symptoms are up. Steve has felt it also. We had a quiet Valentines Day, but I can't nor feel up to going out so we stayed in and didn't do anything different than we usually do. He did buy me some beautiful red roses. They're just starting to open up now. So thats all folks! ;-) Hugs, Jackie Subject: update time! To: "Group" <mserslife >Date: Tuesday, February 15, 2011, 11:06 AM It's update time everyone! Guest guest
That is so exciting and awesome about , Jackie! Algebra? In 5th grade? She must be bright! Then again, she has a grandma like you!I'm so happy to read of Nugget's return and 'revival'. That's fantastic. It must be a bright spot for each day. Looking forward to seeing some pix when you get a chance. So, so sorry about the pain and fatigue my friend! It sounds from our emails, that you are on top of your pain meds and how to regulate them, so hopefully, they'll be some sort of combination that will help alleviate the pain.I love when you post, Jackie. Helps me feel more connected!gentle hugs, KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Wed, February 16, 2011 8:55:55 PMSubject: Re: update time! Guest guest
Thanks Kate, but she didn't get her math smarts from me! lol...that's her daddy and his daddy. They are the ones who got the math genes! Now Skylar she is great at memorizing. Ever since she was 3 we would play "memory" games. Big mistake for me! lol...but I swear she never got it wrong. Knew where the objects were every time, and usually would beat me. I had to put the levels on "easy" for ME!! Their daddy [ my son] was like that too. He never had to study in school, and came away with a 4.0. Skylar is a good reader and speller. We play a hangman game where you have to make up real words to spell, and I am shocked at her vocabulary and what she can spell [she's 9 now, but we've been doing this game for a few years]. is the reader and story teller. She gets that from ME! lol...She has 3 books she's reading all at the same time and one story I know of she's working on. I was always a voracious reader. I can't hold a book now so I do most of my reading on line. I need to get one of those book holders. Well this turned out longer than just a thank you, guess I have to claim "grandma's bragging rights"! ;-) Hugs, Jackie Subject: update time! To: "Group" <mserslife >Date: Tuesday, February 15, 2011, 11:06 AM It's update time everyone!
