Guest guest
Being able to eat/drink what I want i fantastic! However, there are quite a lot of lactose free dairy products available here. Or at least basic products, like milk, cream, some cheeses, yogurt, ice cream etc. There are not all that many kinds, and brands, and flavors etc, though, maybe 4 or 5 different kinds/flavors of lactose free yogurt for instance, compared to I don't know how many regular (non lactose-free). Somewhere between 5 or 10 kinds/flavors of lactose free ice cream, compared to ALL the ice cream kinds and flavors. And then there are things that just does not exist in a lactose free version (yet, at least), like the soft whey butter, and many kinds of cheese.I suppose you nowadays could make an OK lactose free milkshake (using lactose free milk and lactose free ice cream), but when I first tried it a few years ago, there were no lactose free regular ice cream (meaning: made from actual dairy) available in the stores, only the milk free kinds (made from soy/tofu or oat). And that did not make a very good milkshake. Something about the texture was not right. Therefor I never tried it again, even after regular lactose free ice cream became available. And - more especially – you definitely can't order a lactose free milkshake in a hamburger restaurant...I will be trying all the flavors of yogurt and ice cream I haven't been able to before, for sure! love/Reb >> Glad everyone is feeling better!> And there's really nothing like REAL dairy, is there? :-D> > Water is very very important for sand castles, you know.... but then> again, so are prips....> > > > in WY> Practical Blackwork Designs> http://practicalblackwork.com> http://practical-blackwork.blogspot.com > > "You get a wonderful view from the point of no return..."> the real update> > > MS-wise: has not been having any noticeable flare-up.
