Guest guest
Dear WTO compadres, I've written a memoir about being a kid of (KO) a borderline mom (nada), who fought incessantly with my dad. It's been revised several times and is currently undergoing a third round of professional editing. I expect to have a new, updated, revised, and ready-to-read draft by the end of August or early September. Anyone interested in checking it out? I'd love to have a few of you read and give feedback as you feel called to do so. If you say yes, you are not making an ironclad commitment to read the whole thing. All I ask is you give it a try, read as much as you want to read, and then provide some feedback on what you've read -- what you liked, what you didn't, what resonated with your experience, what felt missing, how you would suggest improving it, etc. What I want to know -- how can I make this memoir gripping, powerful, helpful, emotionally moving, and a story that you feel excited and compelled to read? So your feedback now, before it's published, could be invaluable. (You won't need to point out spelling/grammar errors, I've got editors to take care of that!) Length: it's about 150 single spaced 12 point type pages, 78,000 words. In comparison, I believe Dave Eggers' memoir was 120,000 words, so I'm fairly short as memoirs go. FYI, I've already had about 20 folks read it and I've gotten lots of great feedback, but few if any of my previous readers come from the borderline/narcissistic context of us here on WTO, so having some folks in my peer group read it would be great. ALSO - If you happen to have a kid age 10 - 18, I'm especially looking for youths/teens in that range to read and give feedback, because I see this story being at least as applicable to that audience as to adults. Perhaps even more so. Thank you so much for your consideration, - bikewithme@...

Guest guest
I would be happy to help out as well. I'm 22, which is out of the range you mentioned but I still read Young Adult books quite often and I can try to tailor my responses to that age group. > Dear WTO compadres, > > I've written a memoir about being a kid of (KO) a borderline mom (nada), who > fought incessantly with my dad. Guest guest
Hi , I'd certainly love to read it. I always pictured myself writing a book about my past with my nada and my father so I'm really interested in how yours turned out because I really have a hard time remembering everything now. I'm 19 so I'm sure it would really help me out at this point -Cammisha > > > > > ** > > > > > > > > > Dear WTO compadres, > > > > > > I've written a memoir about being a kid of (KO) a borderline mom (nada), > > > who > > > fought incessantly with my dad.
