Guest guest
Hey WTO community, A few days ago, I posted a call out asking for folks to volunteer to read an in-progress version of my memoir about growing up a KO (kid of) a nada (borderline mom - spelling it out for the newbies) who fought incessantly with my dad (who had narcissistic pd). Anyway, thank you so much, I'm thrilled that so many of you said yes! Those who have responded are listed below, did I miss anyone? Drop me a line if you're interested in reading the memoir and I didn't capture your name. Here's the list I've got so far: " Doug " " Judy " " Holly Lipschultz " " Beatrice Benedick " " Girlscout Cowboy " " agranger16@... " " " " Cammisha " I'll contact each of you privately, off-list (I have all of your emails recorded), when I have a version of the memoir ready, by the end of August or early September (it's currently being professionally edited). ALSO - if anyone KNOWS someone who would be a good candidate to read it, please get in touch. In addition to adult children who grew up with such parents, I'm also looking for a) kids 10 - 18, educators/teachers, c) mental health professionals/therapists, d) family law attorneys, e) judges, f) parents currently in conflict whether they are still together or are separated/divorced. My book is relevant to all of those audiences! Thank you again!! I'm so excited to share my story with you and hear your feedback. Peace, -
Guest guest
, Put me on the list too. I am *married* to, for 25+ years, my BPD wife, but we are separating. I have known about BPD for about 5 years, and haver been going to a T and reading just about everything out there on it. I will also check with my daughters, 18 & 20, one of who has read USBM, and who both have known something wasn't right for 5+ years. It will be intersting to see how your book 'reads'. I personally feel that we need more books like One Way Ticket to Kansas that are an 'easy, not too technical' of a read......for someone that is *not* hard -core into 'understanding' to a deep degree. Just more of a 'validation' that " yes, it IS nuts, we are not the crazy ones, we did not deserve this kind of life " and so on. Thanks, DKC () ________________________________ To: WTOAdultChildren1 Sent: Saturday, August 20, 2011 9:20 PM Subject: to those who said yes to reading my memoir, thank you...anyone else? did I get everyone?  Hey WTO community, A few days ago, I posted a call out asking for folks to volunteer to read an in-progress version of my memoir about growing up a KO (kid of) a nada (borderline mom - spelling it out for the newbies) who fought incessantly with my dad (who had narcissistic pd). Guest guest
I'm a voracious reader and would love to read it! I also know a child therapist who may be interested, I can ask her on Friday if you're still looking for other perspectives. > > Hey WTO community, > > A few days ago, I posted a call out asking for folks to volunteer to read an > in-progress version of my memoir about growing up a KO (kid of) a nada > (borderline mom - spelling it out for the newbies) who fought incessantly > with my dad (who had narcissistic pd). > > Anyway, thank you so much, I'm thrilled that so many of you said yes!
