Guest guest
Happy Birthday to , Sharon, and 'warm' thoughts to all of you,nTo: Group <mserslife >Sent: Sun, February 27, 2011 2:01:31 PMSubject: my day I woke to snow this morning--about 4 inches. Now it is sunny but cold. Very cold!! I hate freezing all winter. If only that would carry over to summer, huh? lolToday is my granddaughter 's birthday. She is 15 today. She is so sick with the cold/flu that all the kids have had. She tried so hard not to get sick but it got her anyway on Friday. She went ahead and had her birthday treasure hunt this morning (family tradition:). I made her requested Banana Split Cake and also a mandarin orange cake. I still have to frost the mandarin cake --been waiting for the butter to soften in the sunny window. Her parents will cook her requested birthday dinner tonight. She asked for her dad's hamburgers and homemade french fries. Funny story: Does anyone remember the dinner scene in 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation' where "Aunt Grace" is asked to say the prayer? Aunt Grace is kind of kooky and forgetful and instead of the blessing starts singing 'The Star Spangled Banner'. Well this morning we had our of version of that scene. At breakfast we put a candle in 's eggs, lit and and sang Happy Birthday. After the song everyone dug into their breakfast. Finally said "did we say the prayer?" Nope. We sang instead. BTW, 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation' is one of my all time favorite movies! lolI hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday!hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
