Guest guest
I've read a lot on this topic. Most I've read suggest MB12 shots to be every 3 days or sometimes every other day. And i know some children dont require anywhere near this much. Our doctor has given protocol of every 3 days. However i read that it's the child that tells us what is needed and what works. I am wondering whether my son who is 3yrs would benefit from daily shots. I see him pick up on the day of the shot, and then i dont see much change the next day and the next. Is there anyone out there who is giving DAILY MB12 shots ? Did you always? Was it more beneficial to up the frequency. Thankyou very much
Guest guest
Hello, When we first started MB12 shots, we did them every third day. Our son made wonderful progress with that frequency. However, if a child responds initially, our doctor increases the frequency to daily shots to see if there is even more improvement. If not, he goes back to every-three-days or every-other-day shots. He told us that a good indicator of whether the increased frequency would be beneficial, was whether we saw what you are describing--improvement on the day of the shot and then sort of flat until the next shot, as though the effect had " worn off. " In our case, our son did even better on daily shots. He'd already been doing so great, it was hard to imagine that his development would pick up even more, but we noticed unmistakeable acceleration in his progress when we switched to a daily protocol. We've been giving him daily shots for almost a year and a half now and will stick with that indefinitely. HTH, I've read a lot on this topic. Guest guest
thanks so much . Hubby and I will now proceed with daily shots for trial. Can i ask, did you adjust your dosage down, when you changed the 3 day shots over to daily shots? we give him 0.2ml every 3 days. So would we give a third of this dose each day ? Or keep it the same? thankyou To: mb12valtrex Sent: Saturday, 9 June 2012 3:49 PMSubject: Re: Does anyone give MB12 shots everyday ? Guest guest
Hi Rochelle, The easy answer is that we kept the dosage exactly the same per shot as it had been...so essentially we increased threefold the total MB12 he was getting, by giving the same shot three times as often. BUT you should ask your doctor about the dosage for your son--I can't say what it should be, as it depends on the concentration in the shots as well as your son's weight, etc. In our case, my son is 3 1/2 and weighs 37 pounds. His doctor has prescribed for him a shot concentration of 25 mg/mL, and the shot volume is .04cc. You really need to know both of those pieces of information to understand how much MB12 your son is actually getting. My guess is that you could give exactly what you're already giving, just daily instead of every 3 days....but again, check with your son's doctor for a specific recommendation. I hope this helps a bit, thanks so much . Hubby and I will now proceed with daily shots for trial.
