>>>Suze:

LOL. You remind me of my hubby with all these " former jobs " -- is there

anything you did NOT do? (OK, I'm a former watchmaker, waitress, and

workerbee on a lawsuit, so my background is limited!).

****Uh oh...is it becoming obvious how nomadic i've been career-wise?? LOL

Funny, i'm *often* asked what i have *not* done :) In answer to your

question (indirectly) here's the list of what I *have* done:

waitress, cabby (really enjoyed this one), valet parker (first thing i did

after getting my hoity toity ivy league degree!), parking lot manager (it's

as boring as it sounds), private eye, private eye's assistant, teacher, ESL

tutor, elementary school tutor, professional student, photographer/flea

market vendor (6 years, longest stint), helped former husband manage his

tattoo studio, fake gold salesperson (yuck!), PIRG campaigner, online editor

(more like data entry), baker, bakery counterperson, the all-you-can-eat

shrimp special girl at HoJo's restaurant, and web designer. If you count

summer/school jobs there's dishwasher, sternwoman on lobster boats,

craftmaker, college dorm front desk clerk, restaurant manager (more like

cashier) and office assistant. Volunteer work is mainly tutoring, mostly in

inner city communities. I'm pretty sure there's other stuff I've forgotten

about too.

So, can your husband top that in terms of *sheer number* of former jobs? <g>

p.s. watchmaker?? how unusual!

Nope, I think that's a record! (and you are what, 27 years old? You don't

have to answer that, it's a joke. My hubby has been 37 for years now). They

say that wisdom comes with BREADTH of experience so you must be a wise

woman! That is a very wide variety, you should be able to do anything.

>p.s. watchmaker?? how unusual!

Isn't it though? It's not too unlike programming though ... figuring out

puzzles, connections. Except in watch repair you can't just make a backup

copy in case you make a mistake!
