Hope everyone is doing okay - congrats on your shiny new ramp, Akiba!

Glad Bill's surgery went well, Margaret, praying for his quick recovery, and

for Anne's flare...

Been feeling pretty good (except I broke my pinkie-toe) and very busy

whuppin' a large and awkward-shaped embroidery chart into the right shape

for printing. The weather's hot one day and cool the next, and the whole

county has been hit with grass fires, etc, the past few days - Himself went

out on a hale-bale fire at 3am this morning, and hasn't come back yet!

Bad news - the middle of Friday afternoon, his new boss called him into

the office and told him that effective immediately his position no longer

existed in the company, too bad so sad don't let the door hit you in the

butt on the way out. He is very upset - not only is this NOT the time to be

job-hunting, but this company talked him into leaving another job he liked 4

years ago with all sorts of promises which never came to pass. On the other

hand, he is relieved - I think we've been waiting for this since they GOT

the new boss, and now he's no longer stuck with all the things she doesn't

know how to do (which was pretty much everything) - this has been the first

weekend in MONTHS that wasn't interrupted constantly with " help " phone

calls!

SO anyway, prayers and good thoughts and stuff are welcome, for him to

find another job he enjoys and where his talents and hard work will be

appreciated instead of exploited and taken for granted....

Oh no! I hope hubby finds a new job that is perfect for him.... and quickly! When is his last day at the current job? How's he feeling about all of this? You are busy, as usual. I hope he does get a good new job, soon!

Sorry about the pinky-toe, I broke mine once (chasing my skunk, Petunia) and for the next month it seemes I was incapable of entering a room, any room, without my foot shooting out to the side and the toe hitting the corner. It would have been amusing were it not so painful!

His last minute was RIGHT THEN - and the bitch ('scuse me) escorted him to

get his stuff out of his office, turn in his keys, etc, like a perp walk.

Basically how he's feeling is P*SSED about the way it was done, and relieved

because it had reached the point that EVERYTHING in the place was HIS job.

I'm relieved too - was worried he was either going to blow a gasket or

kill the new boss... :-O Maybe now he can find something he'll enjoy again.

Thanks, I'm sure he'll find something better!

He came home a little bit ago, napping in his chair now - if he hadn't had

his firetruck in town for gas, he's have been out on ANOTHER fire!

Bad thing is that a lot of the rancher's this-year's hay was destroyed -

hope he can find enough to keep all his animals fed through the winter...

Re: Running to catch up again

That's awful about your hubby's job!What a bunch of

nonsense with that job promising him things they didn't

follow through on.Best wishes, prayers, good thoughts, that

there though there is a door closed, God will open a

window; a better window for him.

Keep us posted about the hay fire, and when hub got

home from that.

Again, nice hearing from you!

Running to catch up again

What a lousy thing for the boss to do to him! Escorting him out like that?? Geez.hugs to you SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. His last minute was RIGHT THEN - and the bitch ('scuse me) escorted him toget his stuff out of his office, turn in his keys, etc, like a perp walk.Basically how he's feeling is P*SSED about the way it was done, and relievedbecause it had reached the point that EVERYTHING in the place was HIS job. I'm relieved too - was worried he was either going to blow a gasket orkill the new boss... :-O Maybe now he can find something he'll enjoy again. in WYPractical Blackwork Designs"You get a wonderful view from the point of no return..." http://practical-blackwork.blogspot.com http://practicalblackwork.com-----Original Message-----From: MSersLife [mailto:MSersLife ] On BehalfOf SharonSent: Sunday, August 29, 2010 2:15 PMTo: MSersLife Subject: Re: Running to catch up again Oh no! The same thing happened to our oldest son. They told him that they didn't need him, the Human Resource person walked with him to his desk, watched what he took out of the desk and from the desk. Our son had some stuff on the work computer that would have really helped them. When he turned the computer on the HR person asked what he was doing and he told her that he had some personal stuff on there and was erasing it. LOL He really was deleting the folders with the info they would have needed so the last laugh was on them!

The real reason he thinks he was let go was because he didn't fit in. He was the oldest one there being 43. The rest were younger and all they did was go out and drink and party. He had already been through that stage of life and had no desire to go back to it. The boss would go out on Fri. and bring beer back!!

My ex did that in Saudi Arabia. He was an accountant for a taxi company. they were super corrupt and he sensed he'd be fired soon since he refused to play along. he set up a virus to refotmat the computer several months after he was actually fired
