Guest guest
Hello All, We pulled a Hep B titre this week. I expected to get sky high IgG but he showed no immunity. He was vaccinated at birth. Any ideas? Thanks,
Guest guest
It could be an indicator of an immune disorder. My son has this...Have you had his immune numbers tested, IgG subclasses and total? karenhammes wrote: Hello All, We pulled a Hep B titre this week. Guest guest
,Yes. The IgG subclass was the only low one ( ran in summer). As of this weeks testing Dr says it is within normal range. What would your next step be? Thanks so much for responding!Sent from my iPhone It could be an indicator of an immune disorder. Guest guest
, Have to run to take the kids to school, sorry if this sounds brief...which one was low of the four? I'm not an expert...there's a pediatric PIDs yahoo group with some expert moms that can help. We see an immunologist and as you can see with your son's numbers, they can change...my son's overall total was not low when we started but, even after a year and a half of IVIG his total number went down.  Does he get sick often and is it hard for him to recover from a cold, etc? These are symptoms of PID.  Talk to the doc about keeping an eye on the numbers and perhaps seeing an immunologist. We run labs about every 4 months. I hope this helps.  Sorry have to run...you can always email offlist.....hope this helps. Guest guest
Thanks ,This is very helpful. As an infant and toddler he was sick often. From about 4-9 he rarely caught anything- which really scared me. After starting LDN he caught the regular stuff and fought it off like a regular child.I will look for the group you mentioned. Guest guest
My son is the same way. I think after this vaccine things went downhill fast for him. Because he also tested with no immunity to it his IVIG medication (not infusions) are being covered by state Medicaid. > > Hello All, > > We pulled a Hep B titre this week. Guest guest
Indicated an overall immunity dysfunction. Check and follow IgG, IgM, IgA. Guest guest
This happened with my daughter (with the hep. a, I believe). Sometimes no matter how many times a person is vacc'd they will test "non reactive". Guest guest
This is reported a lot on the autism forums. Some say it means that the pathogen in the vaccine is in them not being dealt with by the immune system. Unfortunately, I see numerous reports that there are many pathogens in our children that don't show up in testing because their immune systems are not producing antibodies to them. The good docs know how to look for the immune dysfunction. You don't really need to look for it though; it's pretty much assumed by the recovery docs. This is why they are treated for a broad range of pathogens. Love and prayers, Heidi N
