Guest guest
Hi Again Does anyone know where I can get an audiobook about BPD, preferably one about BPD mothers? My sister isn't much of a reader, and she thinks my therapist is 'being unfair' by diagnosing my mom with the condition without meeting her. T has read emails, heard messages, etc. from my mom. My sister is in her mid 40's and still living with our nada, and I assume she is probably too far gone for help, but I want to make an attempt. She leads a miserable life and attends to nada's whims at the drop of a hat. She is not allowed to have friends visit, etc. She (sister) is also morbidly obese, and my mom is constantly berating her for it. I know there isn't much I can do, but I want to try to help. Thanks. :/
Guest guest
Hi-- I looked on Amazon trying to find an audiobook version of Understanding the Borderline Mother because that would be the most useful one--but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an audiobook version available. If your sister doesn't mind books, it might be a good one. There is http://www.amazon.com/Stop-Walking-Eggshells-Borderline-Personality/dp/145265407\ 7/ref=sr_1_3_title_2_ac?s=books & ie=UTF8 & qid=1314202227 & sr=1-3 and that is available on Audio CD, but it's not out yet, so you'd have to wait a while before giving it to your sister. Hope this helps, Holly > ** > > > Hi Again > > Does anyone know where I can get an audiobook about BPD, preferably one > about BPD mothers? I feel awful for her, but I know it's her choice to stay. ________________________________ To: WTOAdultChildren1 Sent: Thu, August 25, 2011 11:34:32 AM Subject: Re: Audiobooks? Guest guest
If you have ITunes or something like it, you can search podcasts which are 'free' - do search for Borderline Personality Disorder and you can radio episodes downloaded on this topic. I discovered this recently looking for audio books and came across it by chance. Its not an audio book which you would have to pay for but free info which may help.
