Hiya

My husband does dinner on Saturday nights!, and he leaves the chicken out all

day to thaw!

I have just realised why I keep getting sick on Sundays, and he is starting now.

It must be affecting the kids too, but they seem ok.*!

I have done a search - GSE? would that help get rid of it?

any ideas on dosages etc.

thanks

I would get some charcoal (binder) give away from all supps, then make sure

bowels are moving--

If it is in fact salmonella you need to go to a doctor or hospital for proper testing and treatment. It can be very serious!Subject: Re: I think we have salmonella posoining! Any ideas? To: mb12valtrex Date: Sunday, November 6, 2011, 7:23 AM

We had a serious salmonella infection 3 years ago. Mia lost 1/4 of her body

weight. We went the rounds with 2 pediatrician's offices and 2 hospitals. The

general opinion of MD's is to not treat at all. Antibiotics are controversial

because they can apparently cause the infection to be prolonged, thus prolonging

the amount of time the person who has it can infect others.

We were seriously ill for 7 weeks. One side effect from salmonella is a certain

degree of mental illness from the waste products of the salmonella. Somehow in

the midst of all of our awfulness, I walked into our pediatrician's office and

told them I would not leave until they confirmed an appointment with a

specialist for us that day. This happened. We went to the specialist, and guess

what he gave us? Electrolyte drink powder and a prescription for probiotics. So

I could have saved a lot of trouble and just started with these simple supports.

So, I just wanted to share our experience and suggest that the general Medical

community is not much help when it comes to Salmonella.

For us, our infection was the start of many other health issues. We were advised

by all of the doctors to do the 'BRAT' diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast).

Unfortunately, bananas and apples are very high in salicylates. Toast is gluten.

Low and behold Mia developed a significant salicylate and gluten sensitivity.

When you have salmonella, the gut lining is affected and with this permeability,

comes the possibility of acquiring all sorts of food sensitivities. So better

advice is to avoid all common allergens, if you are not already.

Here is a link to a very basic article with a little more detail. -I just

grabbed it quickly because it showed up at the top of a google search for

" Salmonella herbal treatment " . It lists some herbs that are useful in

irradicating salmonella. We have done mainstream and herbal treatments for

intestinal parasites, and the herbals are far more effective in our experience.

Good luck
