Guest guest
My son's doctor, whom supposedly works with a lot of autistic children have never tested my child for anything so I usually do the testing myself. It's almost like he thinks just trialing things is better and cheaper. I'd rather see the numbers like what we got from the metals test and oats test. Metal Test came back all "normal" so chelation is not needed. He has shown the following abnormal markers from the Great Plains Labs OAT Test 3-Oxoglutaric "normal range" is <0.46 and my son's is 0.75 7-Arabinose "normal range" is <50.0 and my son is 122.0 so we know he has Candida and are using the specific carb diet and removing all sugars while using nizoral and we have seen some improvement. What concerns me is the neurotransmitter Metabolites 30. HVA "normal range is 0.49 - 13 and my son is 4.6 within range 31 Vanillylmandelic (VMA) "normal range" is 0.72 to 6.4 and my son is 1.3 which is within range but very low 32. HVA/VMA Ratio normal range is 0.23 to 2.8 and my son is 3.6 which is out of whack 33. 5-Hydroxyindoleacetic (5-HIAA) should be < 11 and my son's is 0.05 which is extremely low 34. Quinolinic should be 0.47 to 8.8 and my son is 6.5 which would be "normal" 35. Kynurenic should be less than 4.2 and it is but I feel extremely low at 0.66 36. Quinolinic/5-HIAA Ratio is way way out of kilter and should be less than 2.5 but his is 129 FIRST QUESTION: What causing these neurotransmitter metabolites to be out of whack like this and how do I fix the ROOT of the problem. SECOND QUESTION: Dr suggested we try a sublingual called MAB which is the measles antibody. I have no idea what he is talking about so it sits in my refrigerator until I learn more about it. Can anybody educate me on what this might be and where I can get information on this under the tongue measle antibody drop. Supposedly some kids have recovered with this, but I can't find anything.
