Please help! How to start Valtrex?

We work with 2 great docs (long story) and they have different approaches to

starting Valtrex.

One says to start with (1) tablet in the morning for 4-5 days and then add the

evening tablet and after 4-5 more days, add the middle of the day tablet. So a

slow ramp up.

The other says to start day 1 with the morning tablet. Day 2 add the evening

tablet and day three add the middle of the day tablet so my son would be taking

them 8 hours apart, 3X a day, by the third day.

BTW, he has been on Diflucan for over a month now.

Which is right? I've also heard other options like starting 1/2 tablet, at first

but we already started with the one full tablet yesterday morning and the second

full tablet this morning. I just want to do it right.
