Guest guest
Kristy – there are a lot of people who work from home now (as an option from their company) who have the television on during the day. And although I don’t like all of Oprah’s shows, I find it a good middle ground for some interesting information than from the very trivial morning shows like “Regis and or The Ellen Show’. Although maybe I could see “The View” having it on – they always like controversial subjects. So I agree with you – it is just not evening shows that this subject should be on – it all depends on the show – it doesn’t matter the time of the day, and anyhow people have recorders now and can watch anything whenever they want. 20/20 has the medical mysteries on some of their shows – possibly Dr. Phil, but I have lost interest in the subject matter he has on this year – it all seems very sensational type of subjects. What we need is for someone to write a new book on the subject – get a good publisher and agent/PR person. That is all it takes to get something out there. My daughter works for a famous writer, who is getting ready to release a new book, and all he has to do is to get on some of these major shows, and no matter what the subject matter is, the book is going to sell and he will be a multi-millionaire (again). nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of Kristy Sokoloski Sent: Monday, March 31, 2008 3:20 AM To: VulvarDisorders Subject: Re: Media and other talk shows There are people who watch these shows during the day that are not just for people who don't have jobs or are housewives. My gynecologist's office for example will sometimes have some of the talk shows on in the afternoon, and some of the ladies that come in there and are sitting there watching while waiting for appts are working women. As for the people that we want to reach such as doctors don't watch the shows at night either. And in the case of many doctors they are not always home at night. They are often on call which means that they may have to run to the hospital at a moment's notice. Kristy __________________________________________________________ You rock.
