Guest guest
Any article I find on the subjects that we talk about, I either mail or hand to every one of my doctors. They either read them or pitch them. The only doctor who is very appreciative of the articles – strangely enough (but maybe not so) is my pain management doctor. He has gone in the last year from only giving blocks and trigger point injections to every other part of the anatomy except the vagina – to now giving them in the perineum area, the vagina, the butt and all surrounding areas. He told me up until two years ago he never had to do that. So what has happened – why now, what happened to all the poor women who could have used them in past years. I was one of his first pudendal patients – pre and post surgery, so he is learning along with me on what to do for his new patients. So my pain management doctor is very happy to get any articles I bring him on the subject. My pudendal doctor is doing seminars all over the country with accompanying him most of the time. She is sponsoring all of his physical therapy treatments – both pre and post surgery. Two years ago, his name was unknown and now he is months backed up with new patient appointments. All of my doctors have gotten all of ’s presentations – I know one was amazed at the detailed graphics she uses. Most of them had never heard of the pudendal nerve before. I added one of Steph’s presentations to our group files today – everyone – copy it and take it to your doctors. We can start our own little revolution; it only takes a few people and then a few more, etc. etc. Times have changed even in the two years since I joined this group. nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of molly ring Sent: Monday, March 31, 2008 9:07 AM To: VulvarDisorders Subject: Re: Media and other talk shows PSS I think it needs to be sufferers. And there are an awful lot of sufferers at home on the couch, unfortunately. If enough sufferers are educated, the doctors will have no choice. The doctors already have much info at hand. Dr. Weiss' and Prendergast' wonderful article " Screening for Musculoskeletal Componants of Pelvic Pain " was in the Journal of Urology for pete's sake. I know none of MY doctors bothered to read it. love, Molly Re: Media and other talk shows PSS Just who are we trying to get the word out too should be the first question everyone should ask? Housewives? Doctors? Scientist? People that could fund it? This is the marketing degree in me coming out..ha ha Who is our target audience? I don't think we can say everyone. Unfortunately, not everyone cares. I think it should be doctors. Because they are the ones that ususally say you have Vuvo what? OR it is in your HEAD. Blueeberri Create a Home Theater Like the Pros.
