Guest guest
Hi everyone, Just wanted to know what crazy stuff to expect on antivirals? What could be some unwanted symptoms when the viruses are dying? What would happen if a child is being treated for both yeast and viruses? Thanks is
Guest guest
I think Cheryl has die-off symptoms listed on her blog Antivirals 101. I won't say too much because we've never been through it, but from what I've heard other people report, it can get crazy. Behavior, rashes, flu-like symptoms. You should see atleast some small gains, though, so push through it. Good luck! Keep us posted!-TammyTo: mb12valtrex Sent: Tuesday, November 8, 2011 10:29 PMSubject: what does the viral die off look like?? Guest guest
Tammy, I checked Cheryl's blog and couldn't locate the list of die offs. I will check again but if you find it on the blog, can you send me the link. Thanks is > > I think Cheryl has die-off symptoms listed on her blog Antivirals 101. Guest guest
is,The die-off reaction usually occurs two days to two weeks after starting an antiviral like Valtrex. A die-off reaction is when the virus is being killed off. It usually kicks up some severe reactions before exiting the body. Something similar can happen with the antifungals also. When your kid is going through die-off it seems like forever. However, die-off doesn't usually doesn’t last more than a week for most kids, but can be as long as two. Die-off is really is great news because it means your child will be helped tremendously by the antiviral. I know that is hard to believe you feel like you are going backwards at this time. But hang in there, you are doing the right thing. When die-off is over, you will see a new kid that is more focused and alert. You will be amazed by the change in your child. After die-off it will be wonderful! The weird behaviors and stims start to go away. Now they can learn to stop pinching or biting. (Or whatever the behavior is that your child does. Behaviors that make you crazy now, will be possible to get rid of with teaching.) If it is really bad, call your doctor. He may tell you to either increase or decrease the dosage. I once tried the pills myself just to see what die-off felt like. You feel like PMS times twenty. During that time we didn't do anything complicated. It feels like the flue but worse. Our children feel very sick, but don’t have the communication skills to tell you that. We hung out and did things he found relaxing like watching his favorite videos. It wasn't a time I would try to teach my son anything new. Ibuprofen every three and a half hours helps. Hang in there. This terrible time will bring great things,Marcia
Guest guest
Thanks everyone for responding. I still want to know what kind of symptoms were present in your child while using antivirals. I am familiar with fungal die off and have gotten used to dealing with it but just want to be prepared and be able to know that it is viral die off. Could it be increased stimming or anxiety or aggression. After discussing the yeast and bacteria on the forum, my understanding is that yeast is indicated by silly behaviors and carb cravings and agitation and anxiety indicates clostridia. Is there anything specific associated with viral die off? Thanks is > > is, > > The die-off reaction usually occurs two days to two weeks after starting an > antiviral like Valtrex. Guest guest
Hi group, I keep hearing about die off with Valtrex and can't really understand it, as we know that Valtrex and all the antivirals we are using (by "we" I mean the parents of autistic kids) don't kill the viruses but just suppress their replication. There are the other kind of powerful antivirals that indeed kill viruses, but they are used only in hospitals in the most severe casesq because they are not considered safe. I would appreciate if somebody explains me all that contradiction. We did have some behaviours when we started Valtrex with our son but we thought it was his immune system readjusting. Thanks for any comment, Dani To: mb12valtrex Sent: Wednesday, November 9, 2011 9:54 PMSubject: Re: what does the viral die off look like?? Thanks everyone for responding. Guest guest
I think I am using the term die off for all the negatives that come in the beginning of treatment before you see any improvement. is > > > > is, > > > > The die-off reaction usually occurs two days to two weeks after starting an > > antiviral like Valtrex. Guest guest
Just sending you this incase it helps.... I've kept a log over the years of best posts...detox symptoms was on it: Detoxification Symptoms and Causes inc rash picture links (lyme & viral) " These detoxification symptoms may include headache, stomachache, COUGHS, diarrhea, skin RASH, clogged sinus, FEVER, as well as feeling run down and irritable. " http://www.indigoworld.com.au/DetoxificationHerxhiemer-eng.htm Note to self: The sneezing coughing etc means that the Th1 response has been suppressed and the Th2 has been activated. It looks like an allergic reaction. .....hope the link still works...I have not had the time to check if it's still good.
