Guest guest
For those of you who have taken Ativan, how fast does it normally take effect on your pain and for how long? I am completely off the elavil now. Went powerwalking with a gf for 8miles ( alot up hill) and had slight burning yesterday. Took half ativan, and boom in about an hour completely better. Its almost miraculous how it works. Now I wonder was it pfm spasms or nerve pain that I felt (it was like a subtle burning) and if nerve pain, the elavil should work better-as good as the ativan. So I suppose I am going to keep with this game plan of just ativan as needed (not more than every 3 days) atleast I can eliminate another med now. BTW, I don't think the homeopathic beads helped:( CCreate a Home Theater Like the Pros. Watch the video on AOL Home.
Guest guest
When I get my trigger point injections around the vagina, they give me an Ativan under the tongue – it supposedly is absorbed much faster into the bloodstream when it does not go through the stomach. It works within ten minutes. I take my B12 the same way, as they found it does not work for me if it is digested through the stomach, my blood work still comes out that I need more of the vitamin, but when I take it sublingual (under the tongue), my blood work comes out fine. nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of Carolyn52192@... Guest guest
Soooo true nne about a sublingual. That's why I use my E & T for HRT replacement that way... it bypasses the stomach acids and the liver on first pass and goes directly into the blood stream & to work almost immediately. Guest guest
Dee,I have been doing my estradiol sublingually, compounded in emu oil, but learned thatmy SHBG is WAY too high -- so, evidently, quite a bit was making its way down mythroat despite my best intentions that it not. I'm going to switch to transdermally andsee if that brings the SHBG down. Is your SHBG at a good level? If so, maybe the tablet form you use is a bettervehicle than the oil.Hollis > Soooo true nne about a sublingual.  That's why I use my E & T for HRT replacement that way... it bypasses the stomach acids and the liver on first pass and goes directly into the blood stream & to work almost immediately.
