Guest guest
Ora, how much of the NAG did you take (mg and how often). I take it and I don’t see any improvement, but maybe I am not taking enough. nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of taurusrc@... If anyone wants to see the website where the stats appear along with much detail it can be found at: http://www.vulvarpainfoundation.org/vpfrecover.htm I had much success with the low oxalate diet and also the NAG (N-acetyl-glucosamine. The best thing about it is that after I was on the low oxalate diet for a year or so I could start eating some of them with no problems if I did not eat them every day. Also I don't need to take the NAG every day but if I get vulvar burning with bm's I just take it for a day or so and the problem is gone. Guest guest
What are you taking it for? The capsules are 750 mg. each and I take one daily. At first I was taking two because I wanted to see if it helped my intestinal problems. My vulvar pain always came with with the diarrhea. I took it regularly for a few months and then quit because my problem was gone. Occasionally I would take it afterward when my problem returned. The benefit I got from it was from the diarrhea and vulvar pain along with it. But it probably did other things for me which I did not notice. I did start taking it again when I had a problem with hip pain a few years ago and it helped that too. Most older people I know take it because it is supposed to help the bones, etc. I do not have arthritis so dont know whether it would help but the literature states that it does.
