I've been thinking about french toast lately--so your daughter is lucky! What kind of bread do you use for it? I like to use a real heavy, dense bread that our grocery store bakery sells. This morning for breakfast for these three granddaughters I made fried potatoes, rye toast and a fried duck egg for each. We all enjoyed our breakfast especially since we've been having a lot of corn meal mush for breakfast. Now, I like corn meal mush but not as often as we've had it lately.hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. I just use sort of oldish white bread; it seems to soak the egg/milk/cinnamonmixture in real well. Challah bread is the best to use, but I didn't have any ofthat. So, is the corn meal mush a product that you buy prepared, or do you somehowmake it from 'scratch'?Can you tell the difference, taste-wise between a chick and duck egg? I'mcurious, and have no idea!Your grandkids are blessed to have you!love, Kate Had the chocolate...> To: MSersLife > > > Had the chocolate this morning. Corn Meal Mush is just cornmeal boiled like you would cream of wheat or something like that. I don't measure it so I can't tell you real directions. I just bring about 4 inches of water to a boil (with a little salt in it). Then I dump in corn meal and whisk it (because it lumps). Turn the heat down and cover it. Cook for about 5 minutes. Then it is served like hot cereal. We put butter, sugar and milk in it. My grandkids LOVE corn meal mush. lol It is really, really cheap:)Duck eggs are better than chicken eggs. Chicken eggs do have a darker yellow yolk. Duck eggs are larger and denser. I don't know how to really describe them to you but duck eggs are my favorite.hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Nice...corn mush sounds like a bargain to make, and isdelish! When my tummy settles, sounds like somethingI'd like to try. Ever put a bit of maple syrup in it? Just a thought.I wish I lived near you, I'd love to have a duck egg, fresh fromthe farm! Sounds yummy, and I'd like to have the opportunityto do a comparison.love to you, my farming friend,Kate Had the chocolate...> > To: MSersLife > > > > > Had the chocolate this morning.
