Kristy/: BOTOX & Vaginismus

Kristy – I know two people who have had it done – neither had to

be knocked out, and one woman had eight injections (all at the same time).

Somehow it sounds painful – just from knowing what my trigger point injections

felt like. If given the choice, I might take the offer of being knocked out.

Also, neither one of them had good results from the shots.

Dr. Goldstein should be able to tell you for sure if this is

your problem.

My friend who tried the Botox because of her pain issues (her

pain threshold is very low) had to be knocked out to get it

done.

I don't know if other women who have had this done need to do

something similar.

You can ALWAYS ask for valium or xanax before these types of

injections so they are not as unpleasant.

My pain management doctor gives me a Valium and a Percocet

before my injections, but unfortunately they still hurt – the needles are long.
