I think it is so interesting how all my symptoms disappear after the ativan. In the morning, before I get dressed I will have no symptoms-not even pain with urination. Guest guest Posted April 5, 2008 Report Share Posted April 5, 2008 Hi Dee, yes it certainly is interesting how it does work well. Atleast I have it in my back pocket. What is so sad, is that I kinda found out about it inadvertantly when I used it when I was having issues of anxiety the second time this pain returned. In addition, when I told my gyne in Pittsburgh about using it, he was very adament about it and did not want me using it. Hes not the one with the pain! Plus the elavil really doesn't work like this does. I am not taking it more than every 3 days though because I do know it has the potential to be addictive (hell no wonder! ha ha) I am making additional notes to take with me when I see Dr G in May. I am fairly certain the reason why it is working is that it calms my hypertonic muscles in the pelvis. I am probably going to get evaluated from one of the better pts. I think I just had a bad experience with an inexperienced pt maybe. I just wish I had more $$$ and time to go to these people/places:(CPlanning your summer road trip? Check out AOL Travel Guides. I wish I had more time to really delve into exactly the ingredients of the Ativan and how they work, 'apparently' on the gaba pain receptors...but I need more than that to explain it in full... that's a journey well worth traveling.
