I think stress and anxiety helped induce my VV. I think it can be a combo of things.

I was going through an AWFUL stressful time and topped it off with the birth control pill and WHAMO!

They say that stress can also lead to yeast infections.

I was all cleared up. AGAIN went through a terrible break up with a boyfriend that lived with me. WHAMO yeast infections again. Itchy burning crotch. I believe stress and anxiety can lower our immune system. Especially if it weak to begin with or we mess with our hormones.

I think that most of us don't have " lowered immune

systems " but on the contrary our immune systems seem

to be working overtime to counteract whatever the heck

it is that is messing around with our nervous systems

and that fight is causing all the damage. A lowered

immune system brings to my mind a person who will

catch every bacteria or virus, etc. that comes around.

The boy in the bubble had an immune system that was

lowered I think. I think ours more often than not are

autoimmune--an attack against something that our body

thinks is dangerous and it does damage to our tissues.

I guess it is a matter of perception.
