Here it is eight months and it is worse, rather than better. Somehow, once I get pain, in any area, I can never get rid of it. nne, I read this statement in a handout from Libby...it makes me think of what you are describing above.... "Another form of nerve pain called "reflex sympathetic dystrophy" or "regional complex pain syndrome". In this kind of discomfort, pain signals from an injury (and the injury may be minor, such as a severe yeast infection, or major, such as surgery) continues after the cause of the injury resolves." Guest guest
I've been concerned about the possibility for RSD off and on for several years especially the last nearly 2 years I've had issues with the pubic pain that is different from my main issues with the vulvodynia. I got especially concerned (which reminds me I will eventually have to tell my Podiatrist about this at some point depending on where things go with my history) with this pubic pain when I would notice that the pain would go across the left side of my pubic area, down my leg, to my foot, and then out the foot like as if nothing had ever happened. Sometimes that area got numb for a few minutes too. At first I thought it was the pudenal nerve area but knew it still had to do with the genitofemoral nerve and even playing in to it the ilioinguinal nerve. I found out something else (and will have to find the article again on one of the RSD sites) that people with arthritis and fibro are prone to getting RSD which is also what worries me.
